If you are an unethical and abusive person, you will be downright despicable with money and wealth. If you are an overall good person who treats others with respect and fairness, you will be that much better with money.
Most of us and our neighbors want to provide an opportunity for our families, achieve a measure of success as we define it, and limit the obstacles that others would put in our way. It is those things that we do with Freedom that ultimately defines us – both individually as well as as a nation.
To find true success (and joy), we have to find and do that things that we love. Instead of chasing “highs” and avoiding “lows”, we have got to find the journey that makes us happy! Learn to value the journey and it doesn’t matter how long it takes you to get to your destination!
We often hear that “Life is not Fair”. While true, that is no excuse for the rest of to behave in ways that are unfair. Practicing fairness in an unfair world is the small bit of “Good” that we can invest in each other’s day!
There are few places where Youth get to learn & experience things that interest them safely while developing their character & becoming better leaders. Scouts BSA is one such place and I am proud to be a part of it.
While Scouts BSA is not the only place where this happens, it is one.
It is time to stop trying to find “easy” wins. Instead of trying to achieve with the least effort, there are a lot of opportunities to be found “higher in the trees”! My recommendation: Get a Ladder!
Our digital world proliferates “free” tools and platforms. Just don’t be fooled by the trial offers, subscriptions, and other usage opportunities at a lower cost. The “upscale” or “profit maximize” will eventually manifest. Be vigilant!
I have reason to hope that’s grounded in my relationship with my Creator, but as long as there is a tomorrow, we have the opportunity to learn, improve, and try again. Few things in life provide reasons for optimism than the knowledge that you still have more at-bats.
Today, the smallest margins separate those who succeed and those who do not. The greatest successes come to those who process and curate information the best (and prepare for different circumstances). They are the ones most ready when “the lights come on”.
Finding Happiness in the journey has been key to achieving the goals (like Success) that I used to treat as a “destination”. Just keep in mind that Happiness is your response to the situation. We can be happy and find joy regardless of our surroundings. You cannot control the event, but you can definitely control how you respond to it!
