Happy Anniversary Stephanie!!

I hope you will all excuse my use of this week’s newsletter to give a shout-out to my lovely wife, Stephanie! We married on April 24th, 1999 after meeting in college at UGA.

While much of what I say and do is publicly shared, I choose not to talk too much about her and my two sons out of respect for their privacy.

Truth be told, much of what I am able to do is a credit to her as she both enables me to do what I do and gets to laugh as I do it.

I truly married well and “out-punted my coverage”.

If anything, use this as a reminder to express how much the important people in your life mean to you and do something to show them this week.

Stephanie & David - April 24th, 1999
For those checking out the book reviews, I finished The Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes. My post of notes from the book is complete. You can check it out on my blog at this link.

If you would like to read along, I will be starting Content Inc. by Joe Pulizzi soon.

There's less competition when you've got to dig!

I’m not sure if I said this on one of my YouTube videos (possible an episode of “Reading Seth”) or it’s just a restatement of a sentiment someone else shared.

Regardless, it is a message that we need to keep hearing (and one that we can turn can share where others need it).

This has frankly been one of those times when I needed to hear it (or at least encounter it again). There are always challenges, but sometimes they feel a bit more daunting.

Just remember that our biggest accomplishments come from some of the toughest challenges. If you’re facing some, just keep digging!

Smart Bidding updates in Google Ads
It is a good idea to keep up with changes and updates to Smart Bidding if you use Google Ads (or have someone manage Google Ads for you). Intent-based advertising (via Search) is a powerful tool for getting your product or service in front of interested audiences, but as the platforms and technologies continue to evolve, we have to adapt & grow as well.

10 steps to take after a Google Ads account takeover
If you’re transitioning to a managed Google Ads account (or you transitioning into the management of a Google Ads account), it needs to follow an organized approach. Search Engine Journal provides a solid process/plan to follow.

If you need some help with your content or ad programs, let us know. We can talk over your goals and see where I and my team can help.

Migrating from LastPass to BitWarden
I was a LastPass user; I too transitioned to BitWarden. Before the usage changes, I had no issue with LP and probably would not have changed. After switching to BW, I would not go back (even under the previous licensing/usage guidelines). The features are comparable (or better) & the availability of both mobile & web access was a welcome addition!

I like them enough to recommend them and share the link without benefit or ulterior motive.
